Easy Al Pastor Tacos Recipe at Home with Peppers & Flavors

We absolutely love tacos, especially Al Pastor Tacos! Thanks to Peppers and Flavors' Ready-to-Use Adobo Al Pastor, we're all set to make our favorite tacos right at home.

Making the easiest “Al Pastor” Tacos at home!!
Cooking Time: Approximately 1 hour
Preparation: Only 10 minutes to season the pork and pineapple if you use the “Peppers & Flavors” Adobo al Pastor Ready-to-use Mix! (A longer recipe is available at the bottom of the post too!). Watch our YouTube video with everything here:
You will need:
- 1 lb Pouch of “Peppers & Flavors” Adobo al Pastor Ready-to-use Mix
- 5 lbs thin-sliced pork shoulder
- Handmade Tortillas
- Your Favorite Salsa
- Aluminum Foil
- 1 Pineapple
- 1 Trompo
Step 1: Prepare the pork by pounding it to about ¼-inch thickness.
Step 2: Use a 1 Lb (16 Oz) Peppers and Flavors Ready-to-Use Al Pastor Adobo. Shake well, pour it into a container along with the pork, and mix.
Step 3: Marinate the pork in the Al Pastor Adobo for 6 hours or overnight. Layer the pineapple slices with the pork to add more flavor.
Step 4: Cover the TROMPO with foil, preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C), and bake for about 60 minutes or until the pork is slightly charred on the outside and deep red.

Ingredients:
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Half an onion
- 4 deveined guajillo chiles
- 1 chipotle chile
- Half a sprig of cilantro
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 cloves (spice)
- 4 peppercorns
- A pinch of cumin and paprika
- 40 g achiote
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
Directions:
- Sauté the chiles, onion, and garlic. Boil the chiles until they are soft. Put everything in a blender with the rest of the ingredients, along with a bit of the water used for boiling. Strain to taste or leave it thick.
